The Avenue Hospital is regarded as one of Australia's premier joint replacement facilities, drawing patients from around the country. More than 1000 joint replacements are performed annually. In addition, we perform spinal surgery, reconstructive management of sporting injuries, plastic and reconstructive surgery, bariatric surgery, general surgery and management of acute medical conditions.

We have specialist surgeons, anaesthetists, physicians, nurses, case managers, physiotherapists and occupational therapists ensuring the delivery of exceptional patient care.

The Avenue comprises seven operating suites and one Day Procedure Room, has 137 beds, 15 of which are day beds.

A major $16 million refurbishment in 2000 increased the accommodation available to 78 private rooms, all with ensuites. A day surgery facility was developed as well as an increase in undercover on-site parking. There are consulting rooms adjacent to the hospital.

The Avenue also includes an on-site pharmacy, pathology service and laboratory and a state of the art diagnostic imaging facility including an MRI, ultrasound and CT facilities
