Use of OP1 in AVN of the femoral head (National study) - This study is a national study looking at the effects of drilling Stage I & II femoral heads and injecting them with Bone Morphogenic Protein. MOG in combination with are involved in the study and reviewing the results

Prospective study on the long term results of treatment of frozen shoulder with Capsulotomy, Hydrodilatation or conservative treatment. - Having had a recent paper accepted for publication on the use of Capsulotomy in Frozen shoulder, this prospective study looks and the difference between the three methods of treatment and the short and long term outcomes.

Comparison of Operative vs. Nonoperative treatment of chronic osteitis pubis (Groin strain) (International study) - Groin strain in elite athletes can be a tricky problem to diagnose and treat and is commonly refractory to simple modalities of treatment. This study looks at the effects of exploration of the pubic symphysis following CT confirmed Osteitis Pubis.

Metal Ion Study - Prospective study to determine bloody levels of cobalt and chromium ions after Birmingham hip resurfacing surgery. Patients will be followed up for a 10-year period as part of a multi-centre study into the effects of metal-on-metal resurfacing arthroplasty of the hip.

The Fermathron Study - Double blind randomised controlled trial to investigate the effect of the synthetic hyaluronic acid derivative, Fermathron, or recovery after arthroscopic medial meniscectomy. The aim of this study is to determine whether this compound has a place in the management of patients undergoing knee arthroscopy.

The MOG Hip Study - A prospective controlled study of lung function during and after Birmingham Hip Resurfacing. Data collected will be compared to that from conventional Total Hip Replacement surgery to determine if the embolic risk of hip surgery, and its effect on lung function, is reduced in resurfacing arthroplasty.
