Riley Campbell
Riley Campbell is a graduate of the University of Manitoba Medical School who completed his Orthopaedic training at the University of Western Ontario located in London, Ontario, Canada. After completing his Orthopaedic FRCSC examinations and traveling the eastern coast of NSW and Queensland he came to Melbourne to further his sub-specialty interests in arthroplasty of the hip and knee.
His previous research endeavors while at Western included various projects studying opening-wedge high tibial osteotomy for monocompartmental osteoarthritis of the knee; the introduction of a novel implant for use in fusion of the cervical spine; and the description of implant related factors leading to non-union of traumatic distal femur fractures. During his time at MOG he will be completing projects reviewing the outcomes of uni-compartmental knee arthroplasty, questioning the need for so-called ‘high flexion’ total knee arthroplasty designs and participating in various projects dealing with hip resurfacing arthroplasty.
He looks forward to returning to Canada in July 2009 to pursue his Orthopaedic career.
